When to rotate PDF pages
Scanned documents often end up sideways because the scanner or phone camera captured them in landscape when they should have been portrait. Rotating fixes the orientation so reading is natural.
Mixed-orientation documents (portrait report with landscape charts) can be standardized so every page displays correctly in your PDF viewer, presentation software, or printer.
PDF rotation is a metadata-level change — the underlying page content is unchanged. This keeps text selectable, hyperlinks working, and file size identical to the original.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much can I rotate?
90°, 180°, or 270° in either direction. These are the only angles supported by PDF — arbitrary rotations are not part of the format.
Can I rotate individual pages differently?
Yes. Click the rotation buttons on each page thumbnail to rotate just that page. The rotate-all controls apply the same rotation to every page.
Are rotations applied to the original file?
No. A new PDF is created with the rotations applied. Your source file is unchanged.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. All processing happens in your browser.
